BOOKED IT provide cutting edge technology and smart marketing tools all aimed at helping hospitality and leisure businesses drive footfall and increase loyalty.  BOOKED IT is the B2B arm of their sister company LICKLIST, which is the UK’s fastest growing marketplace for hospitality and leisure, connecting over 6,000 venues to a community of over 700k users.

The Role:
You will be involved in all aspects of financial operations as the business goes through a rapid growth phase and completes a Series A funding round.

 

You will be a qualified accountant looking to make their mark in an exciting business with huge potential.


The business is in need of a complete financial overhaul implementing processes for all aspects from credit control and KPI reports to cashflow forecasts and management accounts. The business currently processes over 100k transactions per month and you will be responsible for working with the tech team to automate as much as possible.

 

You need to be highly organised, with strong financial skills and have aspirations to be a Finance Director within the company within 2-3 years. 

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to embark on an essential role in the growth of an exciting company so we need you to be enthusiastic, proactive and committed.  


Key Responsibilities include: 
• Management of the finance function, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue recognition, transactional processes, and client payment functions;
•  Involvement with the budgets, forecasts and business plans;
•  Preparation of the monthly management accounts, delivering to Directors and Shareholders;
•  Prepare and present business KPIs to management/shareholders;
•  Prepare cash flow forecasts for stakeholders and continually monitor the cash position;
•  Manage the financial systems, allowing for improvements when recognised;
•  Responsible for all accounting procedures, policies and controls, ensuring they are in line with group requirements;
•   Oversee the monthly payroll, liaising with HR and the external payroll provider;
•   Prepare the quarterly VAT;
•   Company secretarial duties;
•   Manage external relationships with the auditors, banks etc.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ideally ACA or ACCA or equivalent) 

  • Solid finance experience with great technical knowledge;

  • Solid systems experience essential with Excel knowledge to advanced level;

  • Good team player demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels;

  • Hands on, energetic, proactive, self-starter who is able to work to, and meet, tight deadlines;

  • Strong attention to detail, speed and accuracy is essential;

  • Sets a good example for the wider team to learn and develop from;

  • Strong communication skills to varying stakeholders;

  • Experience gained within a media preferable.

Salary is £30,000 - £40,000 with £10,000-£20,000 in share options included in the package. Salary and options is dependent on the skill sets and experience you have to date.

 

Company phone, laptop and travel expenses are provided.  This is a remote based position which requires 1 week's training at our London office and monthly meetings thereafter.
